On July 22, 2021, young leaders from NIFC, JSpaceCanada, and Canadian Friends of Peace Now sent a letter to the Canadian government and the heads of all the major political parties urging them to speak out strongly against the forced expulsions and demolition of homes of Palestinians in East Jerusalem:
“In light of the upcoming appeals and evictions—including the family of a Canadian citizen—we urge you to reiterate your position to Israel, and to join the EU Representative in calling for the Israeli authorities to immediately cease forced transfers, evictions, demolitions and confiscation of homes, and provide adequate permits for legal construction and development of Palestinian communities.”
