Without Status: Asylum Seekers in Israel During the COVID-19 Crisis

February 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Please join us for a webinar co-sponsored by the New Israel Fund and HIAS on February 10 at 2pm Eastern / 11am Pacific as we speak with asylum seekers about their experience trying to find safety and refuge in Israel before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

For years people seeking asylum in Israel have been living in limbo without status. This always creates precariousness and instability for people and families. But being without status during a pandemic — when access to healthcare and economic relief depend on government programs — is a different level of vulnerability altogether.

Join us as we speak with organizers and experts who are themselves asylum seekers. They will tell us about their experience trying to find safety and refuge in Israel, and advocating for their families and communities before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
