NIFC depends on our 50+ leaders with skills of many kinds across Canada. At the end of 2023, we’re saying appreciative goodbyes to some dedicated and thoughtful leaders who have completed roles in 2023.

We are extremely grateful to these committed individuals for giving their time and expertise to NIFC:

Amy Block retires from our Board of Directors after nearly a decade of service, including serving as President from 2018-2021 and since then as Chair of our Advisory Council. As President, she oversaw an expansion of NIFC’s work in Canada. We’re thankful that Amy continues to serve on our Nominations Committee.

Stav Adivi retires from our Board of Directors after six years, including serving on our Finance Committee and as an indefatigable advocate of New Israel Fund within the Toronto community of Israeli expats. We’re thankful that Stav continues to volunteer his expertise on our Audit Committee.

Sarah BroitmanSarah Broitman completes her year as a 2023 Naomi Chazan Fellow. She remains in our leadership on the New Generations Leadership Council.

Prof. Gershon Hundert (z”l) supported NIFC generously for over 30 years and in 2019 publicly joined our Advisory Council. In 2023, he sadly passed away after a storied academic career. He will be greatly missed.

Rachel Landau completed her term on our New Generations Leadership Council, after joining its founding team in 2021 and helping relaunch our community of supporters in their 20s/30s.
