(NIF US) Emergency Webinar in Response to the Crisis in Israel

While we are all still reeling from the events of the last couple of days—with great uncertainty about the days to come. NIF’s Daniel Sokatch, CEO; Mickey Gitzin, director of NIF Israel; Rachel Liel, board president; and Libby Lenkinski, vice president for public engagement, invite the whole NIF community to gather together for an emergency webinar, this Thursday, October 12, at 12:30 PM ET / 11:30 AM CT / 9:30 AM PT.
They will be be joined by two members of the NIF community in Israel from the South. Our board member Yasmeen Abu-Fraiha is a Bedouin doctor from the Negev who has been working around the clock at Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva, the largest hospital in the South. Avi Dabush is the executive director of Rabbis for Human Rights and prior to that was a longtime Shatil staff member. He is a premier community organizer from the Gaza Border communities and after being released from a harrowing experience sheltering in place, he and his family are organizing and volunteering from Eilat, where they were evacuated to.
We will hear from Avi and Yasmeen and will update about NIF’s emergency safety network on the ground. Our community has stood for human dignity and peace for decades and we need to be together now as well.
