What is a Giving Circle? In a Giving Circle, the group pools its charitable donations and decides as a group where to allocate the funds out of NIFC’s 2024 projects (announcement forthcoming!). Giving Circles bring people together to go through an intentional process, inspired by Jewish tradition, to decide how to allocate their funds. You will walk away from this experience with more knowledge about NIFC partners and the issues they work on, greater insight about fundraising as a mode of social action, and more connected to your local community of like-minded changemakers.
Giving Circles are an especially meaningful way to collectively participate in philanthropy as a New Gen community — plus, pooling our donations together increases the impact of our gift!
As one participant in a previous New Generations Giving Circle shared,
The Giving Circle was an intensely meaningful experience. Not only was I personally contributing to NIFC’s work, but I was also directly contributing to one of our life-saving partners on the ground. I felt like I was making a real difference towards peace and dignity for Israelis and Palestinians.
At our last Giving Circle in 2023, the group chose to direct its pooled funds toward Shatil’s Rawabit program. Read more about that here.
Participation options:
– If you already donated towards the Giving Circle at the end of 2023 (if you registered for the Israelism screening), choose the “Already donated” option when you register.
– If you haven’t yet contributed towards the Giving Circle and want to attend the event, make your gift through the registration form and choose “Yes” to “Do you want to register for the event?”
– If you want to contribute towards the Giving Circle but are unable to attend the event, make your gift through the registration form and choose “No” to “Do you want to register for the event?”
We welcome contributions of any size — no gift is too small to make an impact.
