Join us for a deep-dive with Michael Sfard into the sweeping changes to Israel’s judiciary, from changes to the High Court to de jure annexation in the West Bank. We’ll have the opportunity to meet with Michael, one of the most prominent legal minds in Israel today, at this critical moment as the Knesset begins to pass reforms that would decimate the independence of Israel’s judiciary.

Michael Sfard is an attorney specializing in international human rights law who represents numerous Israeli human rights and peace groups (such as Yesh Din, Peace Now, Breaking the Silence and the Human Rights Defenders Fund) as well as Palestinian communities and Israeli and Palestinian activists. He regularly argues cases before Israel’s High Court of Justice. He is the author of The Wall and the Gate: Israel, Palestine and the Legal Battle for Human Rights.
Libby Lenkinski is the Vice President for Public Engagement at the New Israel Fund, where she leads all aspects of NIF’s public efforts in the United States – including communications, digital, programs, events, leadership, community partnerships and engagement, New Generations and our fellowships. Prior to joining NIF, Libby lived and worked in the Israeli non-profit field for almost a decade.
