(Community Event) An Evening with Peter Beinart

Professor Beinart, author and editor-at-large of Jewish Currents Magazine, will be discussing his latest book, Being Jewish After the Destruction of Gaza and engaging with representatives from Toronto-based progressive Jewish organizations. In this time of deep divisions within Jewish communities, how do progressives cross divides, in order to present a unified, liberationist movement in the face of oppression and genocide? The evening will include a key-note address, followed by an in-depth onstage discussion, led by New Israel Fund of Canada’s Ben Murane and Independent Jewish Voices’ Sheryl Nestel. This will be followed by a lightning round of questions for Professor Beinart from representatives of various organizations, including Standing Together, Jewish Faculty Network, Congregation Shir Libeynu and the United Jewish People’s Order.
