With great pride, we congratulate our board member Prof. Sylvia Bashevkin on receiving two national-level awards in recognition of her groundbreaking scholarship in gender and politics:
Sylvia was named an Officer of the Order of Canada, one of the country’s highest honours, just weeks after being a recipient of the 2024 Governor General’s Awards in Commemoration of the Persons Case (the Persons Award) for her outstanding contributions to equality for women and girls in Canada.
