Late last week, our American friends at the New Israel Fund were notified that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (z”l) designated part of a cash prize to NIF as one of several organizations which “mean the most to her.” The National Constitution Center awarded Justice Ginsburg the 2020 Liberty Medal by the National Constitution Center on September 17, 2020, just one day before her death.
“Justice Ginsburg decided to divide the prize among the institutions and organizations that meant the most to her,” wrote Jeffrey Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center. “The donation is a meaningful testament to the esteem in which Justice Ginsburg held your work, as well as being a tribute to her blessed memory.” We at NIFC are proud to be a part of the NIF global network, and inspired by Justice Ginsburg’s gesture of support.
