Everything You Wanted to Know About Breaking the Silence and Human Rights Under Occupation

14 November 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

A special invitation for staff, board members, and leaders of Jewish community organizations
Monday, November 14th at 12-1 pm Eastern via Zoom
RSVP below

One of Israel’s most well-known human rights NGOs, Breaking the Silence, comes to Toronto in November to educate the Jewish community about the moral costs of unending occupation.

Who are they? What do they really say about their military service? What are they seeking? Why are they such a threat to the settlement movement and occupation apologists?

How can Canadian Jewish communities address political diversity within our own communities – including those who support Israelis like Breaking the Silence and those who don’t?

This is a unique opportunity for Canadian Jewish leaders to ask two members of Breaking the Silence about their military service, the growth of their human rights work, and the changing debate over criticizing Israel.

(Want to hear us in person at Holy Blossom on November 22nd? RSVP here).

About Us

The New Israel Fund of Canada mobilizes Canadian Jews and other supporters to advance our vision through raising funds for projects in Israel and areas under its authority and through educating and engaging the public on the critical issues facing Israeli society.

Breaking the Silence is an organization of former IDF soldiers who use the testimonies of Israeli soldiers who served in the occupied Palestinian territories to educate the Israeli and international public about the occupation.
