Emergency Response: Protect Palestinian Human Rights in the West Bank

What happened in Huwara has shocked everyone – a violent rampage by hundreds of Israeli settlers in Palestinian village that torched 30 homes and 100 cars, injured 390 Palestinians, and killed one person.

The violence is escalating out of control. Before this, two Israeli brothers from the settlement of Har Bracha were murdered and earlier this week another terrorist took a third Israeli life.

These horrific events reveal a new reality: these vigilante “price tag” settler acts are fueled and supported by sitting Israeli cabinet ministers. Minister Bezalel Smotrich, leader of the Religious Zionism party, said two days ago “I think the village of Huwara needs to be wiped out. I think the State of Israel should do it.” The village of Huwara is home to 6,000 lives.
