Standing Together is the largest Jewish-Arab grassroots movement in Israel. We organize over 5,000 members and mobilize thousands to the streets and digitally across the country for peace, equality, and environmental justice in Israel.
The movement organizes leadership seminars to equip local leaders with the tools to cultivate grassroots power and generate social change. After the first round of a 6-hour training workshop—which gives basic tools and notions on civic engagement, both on and off campus—Standing Together would like to invite participants to take a second round of activities to deepen and expand their knowledge and toolkit for local leadership.
This activity, which will be the focus of this charitable project, will be an immersive educational experience of a 2-day seminar at Givat Haviva, a center for shared society located in a kibbutz in the country’s northern area. There, the participants will have the opportunity to have practical lectures on democratic participation, including building local participation in civic engagement initiatives and further developing skills for leadership.
The seminar will include transportation, meals, and accommodation (for around 16 participants in each cohort). Participants will be Jewish and Palestinian local leaders within our student or local chapters who have already undergone our basic training workshop.
This campaign is now closed.
