Five months after October 7th, the New Israel Fund is investing even deeper into civil society initiatives that can lead Israel out of the current war, secure democracy, and provide a political horizon for both Israelis and Palestinians alike.
Our funded partner Mitvim and NIF grantee the Berl Katznelson Foundation are experts in Israeli security and foreign policy – they have put forward a plan they’re calling The Israeli Initiative that proposes a way forward. It was printed as an insert in the Haaretz newspaper in early March and has already made waves in Israel.

Mitvim–The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies is a foreign policy think tank established in 2011 with the mission to promote a progressive paradigm shift in Israel’s foreign policy. We are proud that Mitvim is one of our ten initial currently funded partners this year.
