NIF’S longtime Associate Director in Israel, Shira Ben Sasson, lives in Jerusalem and attends the Jerusalem Pride Parade, which takes place every year with support from the New Israel Fund of Canada and the global NIF community. We are here at the Pride Parade in Jerusalem. I am Shira from the New Israel Fund. It is so important for me to be here today. It is so important to me that the New Israel Fund has the opportunity to support these activities.
There is no such thing as “half equality.” There is no such thing as equality only for Jews. There is no such thing as equality only for straight people. There is no such thing as equality only for men. There is no such thing as equality only for white people. This is the opportunity to celebrate that equality is something full. That is our right. Thank you, thank you so much.
